During the past year a Diocesan Pastoral and Strategic Planning Committee was created in order to plan for the future of the Diocese. Membership consisted of various entities (Presbyteral Council, Diaconal Council, Diocesan Pastoral Council, DCCW, educational institutions, health care ministries, Finance Council, etc.). The purpose of this committee was to develop a plan for the future well-being of the Diocese.
What has been developed over this past year is the Parish Self-Study. This will be an important educational piece to assist parishes and parishioners to study their situation and give input in order to understand the particular needs of their parishes and the Diocese. From these studies the future course of the diocese will be set.
